Partial Quotient Method
Last week our class started working on long division using the Partial Quotients Method. The students are doing well as we practice this method. Many have realized how important it is for them to know their multiplication math facts. I gave students a sheet to keep in their binder with a few examples. Here is a video of the method if you or your child needs to review the method:
On Thursday, the
class was broken into two teams to practice problems using the Promethean
Board. Each student did one step and then passed the marker on to the
next member of their team. We were able to see how we can solve the same
problem by doing it in different ways.
