Pictures From Our Concord Field Trip

We started our day at the State House and the students learned all about the Hall of Flags which has flags which were brought back by NH soldiers from different battles going back to the Civil War.  We also saw moon rocks brought back by Alan Shepard.

Then we went to see the House of Representatives.  We even did a pretend vote on a bill and used the voting boxes.  Also, we met two of Stratham's representatives.

  Representative Abrami and Representative Ward
Then we went on to the Senate and sat in Senators seats while we learned more.

Then we moved on to the governor's office.  Unfortunately, Governor Maggie Hassan was in Washington DC, so we did not get to meet her.  We did get to get two seconds in her chair.

After we left the State House we moved on to see President Franklin Pierce's house.  We learned so much about him.

We tried on a replica of his coat he wore in the Mexican-America War.

We had a great day and learned so much about NH's government.  Thank you to our chaperones for your help during the day.
