Homework for Week of 20-24

Students should be choosing at least 2 afternoons during the week and one weekend day to do a whole session of xtramath.org with the Beat the Teacher section.  They can choose which nights they would like to go on and they can always do extra days.  It is very important for students to know their math facts.

Monday (Day 3):
Read for 15 min
Math - Partial Quotient #2 Sheet
Spelling - Cut out words and Regular Sort

Tuesday (Day 4):
Read for 15 minutes
Math - Partial Quotients #3 Sheet
Spelling -  Regular Sort and Record

Wednesday (Day 5):
Read for 15 minutes
Math - Review of Division and Multiplication
Spelling - Speed Sort

Thursday (Day 6):
Read for 15 minutes
Math - Interpretting Remainders Sheet
Spelling -Spelling City

Friday (Day 1):
Read for at least 1 hour over the vacation (can be broken up)

We will be starting by learning the Partial Quotient method.  Remember we are trying to find the the largest multiple of the divisor to put over on the right.  We will also learn about drawing the Rectangular Model to show the partial quotient
