Homework for Week of December 12-16

Students should be choosing at least 2 afternoons during the week and one weekend day to do a whole session of xtramath.org with the Beat the Teacher section.  They can choose which nights they would like to go on and they can always do extra days.  It is very important for students to know their math facts.

All gift or money donations for the Holiday Mission are due this Friday.  Thank you so much for your support.

Monday (Day 2): 
Read for 15 minutes
Math -  Unit 4 Review Sheet - Test tomorrow
Spelling - Cut out cards and do a regular Sort 

Tuesday (Day 3):
Read for 15 minutes
Math - Practice math facts 
Spelling - Spelling City

Wednesday (Day 4):
Read for 15 minutes
Math -  4-1 Sheet
Spelling - Speed Sort - Do the sort twice with someone or a stopwatch timing you.  Record the two times in your assignment book

Thursday (Day 5):
Read for 15 minutes
Math -  4-2 Sheet
Spelling - Blind Sort

Friday (Day 6):

Read for 30 minutes
Go on xtramath.org

4B Geography Bee

Mr. Fosher came in this afternoon to our class to do the Geography Bee.  All the children did great for these difficult questions.  We had a 4 way tie at the end of the 7 rounds, so we had to do a lot of extra rounds to find our winner.

These four were the students who tied.

Our 4B Winner - He will go on to the fourth and fifth grade bee and represent our class.  

First Snow

Students had fun making snowmen out at recess today.
