Homework for week of November 21-25

Students should be choosing at least 2 afternoons during the week and one weekend day to do a whole session of xtramath.org with the Beat the Teacher section.  They can choose which nights they would like to go on and they can always do extra days.  It is very important for students to know their math facts.

Monday (Day 2): 
Read for 15 minutes
Math - Sheet 2-4
No Spelling

Tuesday (Day 3):
Read for 45 minutes (can be split up over the break)
Math - xtramath

Find a small rock outside to bring in to share next week.
No Spelling 

Happy Thanksgiving!  We will be going to the book fair on Monday, November 28th if you want to bring money in for books.

Spelling - Cut out cards and do a regular Sort 

Tuesday (Day 4):
Read for 15 minutes
Math - Sheet 2-3

Spelling - Spelling City

Wednesday (Day 5):
Read for 15 minutes

Math -  Factors Sheet
Spelling - Speed Sort - Do the sort twice with someone or a stopwatch timing you.  Record the two times in your assignment book

Thursday (Day 6):
Read for 15 minutes
Math - Factors  Review Sheet

Spelling - Spelling City

Friday (Day 1):
Read for 30 minutes
Go on xtramath.org

Math - Look over review sheet and use ixl.com to practice any skills you still need to practice

Math -xtramath (ixl or Front Row if you are done with xtramath.org

Friday (Day 3):
No School

Old York Field Trip

We had such a great day today on our field trip.  I hope your child told you all about everything they learned today.  We made Jamaica Biscuits, learned about their cooking, worked with textiles, went to a one room schoolhouse, wrote with a quill pen, and played colonial games.  Here are some pictures from our day.
