One Last Writing Project
Last week we started painting paper to use for collage books about NH animals. Students worked hard on researching their animals and starting to make their collage pages. We will continue working on the stories this week. Hopefully we will be able to finish them before the end of the year.

Fork Project
I hope you all heard 4B and 4G's plastic fork project has been a great success! The students did a wonderful presentation to the SMS School Board last Wednesday. They shared our research and hopes for having SMS switch to metal forks. The school board was very pleased with all their hard work and surprised us with a vote that night to put $500 towards buying metal utensils and the dishwasher containers for cleaning them. They would also like some students to come back in June to explain their next steps for teaching the staff and students about this switch.

Lowell Mills Field Trip
We had such a great day today at the Lowell Mills. The kids learned all about the energy needed to run the mills and were able to build a system of canals and test different water wheels. Thank you so much to all our chaperones who made the day run so smoothly.
