Great Website for Games

Here is a link to a website with lots of fun games to practice different math skills:  Click Here
Many of the games can be played on an iPad or computer.

Drag n Drop Math is great for practicing both the traditional and partial product method for multiplication.

Ultimate Speed Math and World Cup Math would be a great game to start practicing your division facts.  You could also practice your multiplication facts.

Also, Ameriquake and Conquer the States are great games for practicing the fifty states.  I know a lot of the kids are trying to get into the Fifty Nifty Club and many were very close last week.

Math Fact Apps

We used the app Sakura Quick Math on the ipads this week during our math workshop.  It is a great app for practicing math facts.

The following apps have also been recommended to me for practicing math facts.  We will be using them next week during our math workshop.

MultiFlow: Times Tables Reimagined - Practice Multiplication by Dactyl Applications

Math Duel - Two Player Split Screen Mathematical Game - Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication and Division! by Ellie's Games, LLC

I hope these help if you are looking for some ways for your child to practice their math facts.   Some of the kids said they wanted to try the apps out at home.  Now that we are doing long multiplication the students are realizing how helpful it is to know their math facts, so they can focus on learning the new process.

Partial Product Video

This is the the best video I have been able to find for the Partial Product Multiplication Method.  I would like to see the multiplication on the right side (she shows on left).  I hope this helps.  There will also a sheet in your child's binders.
